Introducing AltHealth.Me

0 3 years ago

As may be aware, our son Matt has struggled with Lyme Disease for over 10 years. It was a mysterious illness. He saw over 20 doctors (and was misdiagnosed multiple times along the way) until Lori figured out that it was Lyme Disease. She then turned her attention to solutions and wrote a book Lyme Madness to share our journey in order to help others. Today, fortunately Matt is doing much better, but he still struggles with the nagging symptoms of his Chronic Lyme Disease.

Matt’s experience is very common among Lyme. Disease sufferers. Most people who deal with other chronic illnesses have similar experiences.

Neither traditional medicine, nor the current social media environment adequately meet the needs of people with chronic health issues. While these communities currently live on Facebook groups, the social media giant’s algorithms censor content, making it hard for people to find the support and solutions they seek.

We’ve decided to do something about it! Introducing AltHealth.Me, a new social network and marketplace for people who struggle with chronic health issues. AltHealth.Me will be a safe place for people to share their stories, solutions and provide support for one another.
