The Quiet Epidemic a HOT DOCS Canadian International Documentary Festival selection

0 2 years ago

The Steven and Alexandra Cohen Foundation have helped fund The Quiet Epidemic, a feature-length documentary about Lyme disease, featuring many of our grantees.

The film has been selected to premiere at Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival in Toronto on May 2nd—aligning with the start of #LymeAwarenessMonth. It will also be featured in Hot Docs’ Special Presentations Program, a selection of 15 films to watch at this year’s festival.

Co-directors Lindsay Keys and Winslow Crane-Murdoch met at a Lyme doctor’s office in 2015 and have spent the past seven years dedicated to this project. The Quiet Epidemic is currently only available in Canada, but will be made available to other countries later this year. In the meantime, let’s spread the word to show Lyme disease is a growing and global threat.

You can follow The Quiet Epidemic on Instagram and Facebook @TheQuietEpidemic for more information on their upcoming social impact campaign.
